Privacy Policy
Effective
Short version: there are no accounts. Your scores and progress stay on your device. If you play 1v1 online, the nickname you choose and your match results appear on a public ranking. The site uses cookieless analytics, and Google AdSense may use cookies to show ads when you play on tilcayo.cat.
This policy covers tilcayo.cat and its pages (the “site”), run by an independent developer based in Brazil (“we”). Contact: [email protected].
1. Data kept only on your device
The game saves the following in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to us, and you can erase it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser:
- your best score, day streak, earned seals and power-up count;
- whether sound is muted;
- the nickname you last typed for 1v1.
Score cards you share are drawn in your browser. They are only sent where you choose to share them.
2. 1v1 online
To run a match, your browser opens a connection to our game server (Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects). We receive:
- Your nickname (up to 14 characters). Your opponent sees it during the match.
- Match results (wins, losses, draws). These are stored under your nickname and shown on the public “Top tilcayos” ranking.
Please don't use your real name or anything that identifies you as a nickname. Match rooms are temporary. Ranking rows are kept while the ranking exists. To have a nickname removed, email us with the nickname.
The “cats online” counter only counts open connections. It stores nothing about you.
3. Analytics and hosting logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site, and our game server keeps short-lived technical logs for debugging. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across sites.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
When you open the game directly on tilcayo.cat, we show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and, where allowed, to personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info. Where the law requires it, Google asks for your consent first.
5. Playing on other platforms
When the game is embedded on a game portal such as CrazyGames, we don't load AdSense. The portal's own privacy policy covers its ads, accounts and analytics.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it for money.
- We don't ask for your email, location, contacts, camera or microphone.
- We don't create profiles of you.
7. Children
The game is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only thing a player can type is an optional nickname, and it should not be a real name. If you believe a child has entered personal information, email us and we will remove it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as Brazil's LGPD or the EU/UK GDPR give you rights to access, correct or delete your personal data and to object to its use. The only personal data we could hold is your 1v1 nickname and results, plus technical logs. Email [email protected] to use these rights. For ad cookies, use the Google controls above.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
