These terms apply when you play Tilcayo Cat Game or use tilcayo.cat (the “game” or “site”), run by an independent developer based in Brazil (“we”). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

1. The game

The game is free and needs no account. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, including the 1v1 mode and the ranking, at any time.

2. Fair play in 1v1

• Don't use bots, scripts, modified clients or anything else that plays for you or interferes with the server.
• Don't try to overload, attack or reverse-engineer the game server.
• Choose a nickname that is not offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonating someone or revealing personal information (yours or anyone else's).

We may remove nicknames or results from the ranking, reset the ranking, or block access if these rules are broken.

3. Ownership

The game's code, artwork, sounds and text belong to the developer of Tilcayo Cat Game. You may share screenshots, score cards, challenge links and videos of your play. Don't copy, re-host or sell the game or its assets without written permission. Embedding is allowed only on platforms we have authorised.

The photographs of the real tilcayo on the about page belong to their credited photographers and are shown with credit. The name “tilcayo” comes from Bolivian Yungas communities and the scientific name Leopardus tilcayo. Neither is claimed as our property. Names of other games mentioned on this site belong to their owners.

4. Species information

Facts about the tilcayo cat are summarised from the sources listed on the about page. They are for general interest and may change as scientists learn more.

5. Third-party links and ads

The site links to other websites, such as sources, game portals and the Senda Verde donation page, and may show ads from Google. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Donations go directly to Senda Verde; we do not handle them.

6. No warranty

The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee that it will always be online, error-free, or that scores, seals or rankings will be preserved. Progress is stored in your browser and can be lost if you clear its data.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of your country.

8. Privacy

How we handle data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to play means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
